Indian States and Union Territories by Population (as per 2011)
India is the 2nd most populous country in the world after China.
Currently, there are a total of 29 States and 7 Union Territories in India where a total of 1,21,05,69,573 people reside as per the population calculation in 2011.
According to a prediction, the population of India was 133.92 crores in 2017 and the population of China was 138.64 crores in 2017. The population of India is growing so fast that it will overtake China in the few coming years.
In this blog post, I will be ranking all the states and union territories as per the population and also sharing some other useful information like Density (people / sq. km) and Sex Ratio about them.
So, here we go…
